Wimborne-based Teachers Building Society is delighted to have been announced as Highly Commended for the What Mortgage Best Local Building Society Award for the seventh year running.
The What Mortgage awards are now in their 24th year and acknowledge the good work lenders do to help people buy their home.
Simon Beresford, Chief Executive at Teacher Building Society, said, “It’s a great achievement to be Highly Commended once again for this award. It’s now the seventh year running that we have either won or reached the finals in these awards which is a direct result of our dedication as a Society to provide the best service possible to our members.
“We continue to strive for excellence with our customer service and our case-by-case assessment of each mortgage application means we treat people as individuals and take a human approach rather than relying on a computer-generated decision. In fact, often our members speak to the same advisor throughout their mortgage journey with the Society and know their advisors by name.
“This commendation comes at a time when we are working hard to help people move along and step onto the property ladder - with a wide range of mortgages and new family mortgage options to help people buy their first home.
“As always we are grateful to those who took the time to vote for us again in this year’s awards.”
Teachers Building Society provides mortgages to residents of Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire as well as education professionals in England and Wales and savings products to everyone.
