Nominations open for the first ever Dorset Hall of Fame

Sep 10, 2012

Dorset’s radio station Heart 102.3 has teamed up with locally-based Teachers Building Society to honour and celebrate people across the county in the first ever Dorset Hall of Fame.

Nominations are now being taken at heart.co.uk for the prestigious awards ceremony which will be held at the Pavilion Ballroom in Bournemouth on Thursday 18th October, hosted by Heart presenter Toby Anstis alongside Heart Breakfast favourites JK & Lucy.

The Dorset Hall of Fame will reward those who have made a significant contribution in the county and people who deserve recognition for making Dorset a better place.

A panel from Heart 102.3 and Teachers Building Society will choose five winners who will be inducted into the inaugural Dorset Hall of Fame in October.

Heart 102.3 breakfast presenter JK said: “We really urge people to have a good think about someone they know that deserves the recognition of being permanently remembered for having Dorset at their heart. The nomination process is really simple, you just need to tell us why they deserve to be highlighted for making Dorset a great place, that’s it!”

Alan Gravett, Head of Sales & Marketing at Teachers Building Society added, “As a Dorset-based mutual organisation, we’re delighted to be sponsoring the Dorset Hall of Fame as it is open to everyone in the county. We encourage people from all walks of life to get involved and nominate worthy contenders, from fantastic teachers and volunteers to entrepreneurs and campaigners.”
