Teachers Building Society and Heart 102.3 launch the Dorset Hall of Fame

Jul 16, 2012

Dorset’s radio station Heart 102.3 has teamed up with Teachers Building Society to honour and celebrate local people across the county in the first ever Dorset Hall of Fame.

The exciting new initiative will culminate in a prestigious awards ceremony, staged at the Pavilion Ballroom in Bournemouth on Thursday 18th October, hosted by Heart presenter Toby Anstis alongside Heart Breakfast favourites JK & Lucy. The evening promises to be a spectacular celebration for the people of Dorset.

From September, people can nominate friends, family members and work colleagues who have Dorset at the very heart of all they do. Anyone can be nominated, whether they’ve coached a sports team for many years or if they’re a well-known person who has put Dorset on the map on a local, national or global scale!

A panel from Heart 102.3 and Teachers Building Society will choose five winners who will be inducted into the inaugural Dorset Hall of Fame in October.

Heart 102.3 presenter Toby Anstis said "The Dorset Hall of Fame is a fantastic opportunity for us to recognise and thank everyday people who work incredibly hard to make Dorset the wonderful county it is. Everyone at Heart is excited to launch this new initiative with Teachers Building Society as we celebrate Dorset and the people who make it so special."

Alan Gravett, Head of Sales and Marketing from Teachers Building Society said "Teachers Building Society is delighted to team up with Heart to sponsor the Dorset Hall of Fame Awards. Almost all of our staff live in Dorset and we all see examples of how local people provide amazing help and support to their neighbours, so it's fantastic to be able to recognise these worthy efforts wih this high profile event."

Both Heart 102.3 and Teachers Building Society have committed to host the Dorset Hall of Fame for the next three years.
