Teachers Building Society is delighted to announce that the first mortgage case introduced by a broker since its return to the intermediary market just a few weeks ago has completed.

In this instance, it took just 13 working days from initial enquiry to release of funds.  The case was introduced by Gary Whitehead of Town & Country, who earned the mantle of Mortgage Intelligence Top Performing Mortgage Adviser of 2010 for the southern region.

This case was also an unusual circumstance, with only one applicant in a teaching position, who was newly qualified and had been offered a one year temporary contract covering maternity leave. Due to the experience of Teachers Building Society and their understanding of teachers they were able to underwrite this case, conduct all checks and process this purchase application from start to finish in just 13 working days.

Gary says “It is refreshing to see a truly personal service, throughout the application process and I was particularly impressed with their level of service. Everything they said they would do, they did.

Sally Laker, managing director of Mortgage Intelligence, says “It has been fantastic to see such a speedy turn around for the first case by one of our members. We have been very impressed with the level of support and service from Teachers Building Society. We hope this case to be the first of many.”

Alan Gravett, head of sales and marketing at Teachers Building Society, says “After all the preparation for entering in to the mortgage intermediary market, we are delighted to have written the first case, living up to our promise of delivering truly personal service.”
