Teachers Building Society launches new website

Mar 07, 2011

Wimborne-based Teachers Building Society has launched a new website, created by Bournemouth-based Internet agency Appius International Ltd.

The new site has a number of improvements and developments designed to give people a more user-friendly and efficient online experience, including a new savings calculator to help people work out the return they can expect on their savings and an improved mortgage calculator to show people how much they might be able to borrow. The site has also been rebranded in line with the refreshed Teachers Building Society brand identity launched last week. The new brand was designed by another Dorset-based agency, CHS Creative.

Alan Gravett, Teachers Building Society head of sales and marketing, said: "We're delighted to be able to introduce these improvements to give our customers and other users a more efficient and interactive online experience. Other developments planned for this year include a live chat service to further enhance our capability and presence in the online market. As a mutual, with a focus only on customers rather than shareholders, this kind of investment is in line with our philosophy of providing competitive and innovative products and services for people in the teaching profession and other consumers."

Stuart Lane of Appius, said “Teachers required a web solution that combined user friendly features with a new, more powerful, content management solution to empower their in house team. Following a best practice user centred design process, we believe that the site delivers an exceptional experience for the customer and is a strong platform for future development. We are pleased to build on our successful five year role as Teachers digital marketing partner with this exciting new phase in their digital strategy.”
