Applying for a Mortgage Decision In Principle

A Mortgage Decision in Principle (DIP) or Agreement in Principle (AIP), allows customers to quickly find out if they can borrow the amount they need, without affecting their credit score.

This borrowing amount is derived from an understanding of your occupation, income and credit commitments.

Before applying for a mortgage or making an offer on a property, you’ll need to complete a Decision in Principle (DIP). This is also known as an Agreement in Principle (AIP) or a Lending Certificate.

You’ll need to have to hand:

• Your occupation
• Your income
• Your credit commitments
• Your savings
• Your dependencies (who’ll live in the property)

You can call 0800 378 669 or arrange a call with us by completing the form below.

You’re not committing to anything at this stage – just remember that a DIP isn't a guarantee we'll lend to you.
