“When I first came across the Society,” he explains, “I thought that the savings accounts might only be available to teachers. However, after having a look on the website, I soon discovered that they’re available to everyone. So, I gave them a call and found the staff to be approachable, efficient and generally excellent.”
From the start, our service impressed Adrian and Debbie. "I could tell straight away that it was a small office with staff able to interact with customers on a more personal level, making the process of transferring my ISA extremely straightforward,” Adrian comments.
“It was effortless, and the paperwork was easy to fill out; juggling work, family life and all of our hobbies, this was a real plus. Having had our savings accounts for a couple of years now, it’s the little things, like confirming that our payments have been received, that make such a difference and give us that extra bit of reassurance.” Adrian continues, “Even when the rates on the ISAs were lowered, Teachers gave us plenty of notice so that we could move to a different account penalty-free if we wanted to. It’s a small gesture, but it shows us that they care.”
At Teachers, we like to keep things simple, which is just as important for Debbie who is kept busy taking care of the family, their dog (the lovely Tinkerbell), and helping Adrian maintain their large garden. Debbie adds, “I’m also an exam invigilator, I teach children to swim and I help out at the local college where our daughters are studying, too!”
Adrian sums it up: “I appreciate the traditional and dependable yet modern and functional approach that Teachers brings and the confidence that it instils in us to trust them with our hard-earned money.”
We asked, is there anything that we could do to improve our service? “We couldn’t complain about any element of the service. We’re kept well informed, everyone is so friendly and everything is just easy. In short, we would definitely recommend Teachers to family and friends.”
