Teachers Building Society is delighted to announce its sponsorship of the 'Teaching Star of the Future' award at this year's Rock Star Awards.
This new award is aimed at recognising and rewarding an inspirational teacher from Dorset or Hampshire at the start of their career. Teachers Building Society was founded by the National Union of Teachers (NUT) over fifty years ago and supporting teachers is at the heart of its business and ethos.
Simon Beresford, Chief Executive of Teachers Building Society says, “Teachers play a hugely important role in preparing our young people for their future lives and careers. We have a strong affinity with teachers, having been set up to help teachers to own their own home, and we’re delighted to be able to shine a light on a local young teacher by sponsoring this award.”
The Rock Star Awards were founded in 2012 by local recruitment solutions company, Rock Recruitment. Angela Piromalli is the managing director and host of the awards. Angela says, “I am absolutely delighted to welcome Teachers Building Society to the Rock Star Awards team and to recognise the outstanding talented teachers that we have in our community who are directly influencing and supporting our young people’s future and ultimately our economy.”
