Teachers Building Society Launch New Fixed Rate Bonds

Teachers Building Society has launched two new Fixed Rate Bonds with fixed terms of 18 and 30 months respectively.

The bonds, which offer competitive interest rates, require a minimum investment of £500 and pay a higher rate for higher balances.

“We are constantly looking to provide the best rates possible in this difficult saving market, with the Bank of England Base Rate remaining at an all time low of 0.5% it’s a difficult market for savers but we continue to communicate with our members and work hard to achieve the best savings rates we can.”

Fixed Rate Bond Issue 173

  • 18 month bond, maturing on 20th September 2016
  • 1.85% gross/AER on balances between £500 and £24,999
  • 1.95% gross/AER on balances over £25,000

Fixed Rate Bond Issue 174

  • 30 month maturing 19th September 2017:
  • 2.10% gross/AER on balances between £500 - £24,999
  • 2.20% gross/AER on balances over £25,000

  • 1.83% gross on balances between £10,000 and £24,999(1.85% AER)
  • 1.93% gross on balances over £25,000(1.95% AER)
  • Minimum investment £10,000

Fixed Rate Bond Issue 174

Current rate of interest monthly:

  • 2.08% gross on balances between £10,000- £24,999(2.10% AER)
  • 2.18% gross on balances over £25,000(2.20% AER)
  • Minimum investment £10,000
