Staff at Wimborne-based
Teachers Building Society held a mufti day and raffle and collected
their unwanted items for the new Julia’s House Charity Shop in the
town’s shopping centre.
At least once a month the team at Teachers make a
small donation to wear casual clothes or even fancy dress to work. The
mufti days are organised by Investment Administrator Lin Bridle, who
says, “Everyone here is able to nominate a chosen charity for our mufti
day collections, and we manage to raise close to a thousand pounds every
year for worthy causes.’
Based in nearby Corfe Mullen, Julia’s House is Dorset’s only hospice dedicated to children with life-limiting conditions.
The Wimborne Julia’s House Charity Shop opened on
21st August and the whole team at Teachers Building Society wishes it
every success!
