Teachers Building Society nominated again for 'Best Local Building Society'

Jun 01, 2012

Teachers Building Society has been nominated for ‘Best Local Building Society’ in the What Mortgage Awards for the second year running.

The Society won the coveted title at last year’s event. Teachers Building Society has been based in Wimborne since 1976 and is the only mutual building society with a head office in Dorset.

What Mortgage is a leading consumer mortgage magazine in the UK and its readers were asked to nominate banks and building societies for the 35 award categories featuring in the annual event. This year, What Mortgage has received over 10,500 responses from the public for the first stage of voting. Winners will be announced at a ceremony taking place in late July.

Alan Gravett, head of sales and marketing at Teachers Building Society, says “As an organisation striving to provide a truly personal service and competitive products to our local community, it’s fantastic recognition to be shortlisted for this award once again. There is no greater accolade than the endorsement of our own customers and we’re very grateful to those who took the time and trouble to nominate us.”
