Teachers Building Society Reaches Final of Customer Care Award
Teachers Building Society has been named a finalist in the 2008 Dorset Business Awards ‘Excellence in Customer/Client Care’ category.
Organised by Dorset Business (the Chamber of Commerce and Industry), the Dorset Business Awards have been running for fourteen years and winners will be announced at a gala event to be held at the BIC in November.
To reach the final stage, Teachers Building Society had to demonstrate a firm commitment to a very high level of customer focus and service. Evidence of this commitment was in the form of the Society’s policies and training programmes and also feedback from members, which shows that well over 90% rate the service received as good or excellent. The testimonials of several members were also submitted and some members have been contacted by award judges directly.
Mr Turnbull of Holt, Dorset, has been a member of Teachers Building Society for around 18 years. He says, “I have always been impressed by the excellent, personal service at Teachers. All the staff are very helpful, courteous and knowledgeable and when I visit the office they make me feel like a VIP!”
Chief Executive James Bawa says “We are passionate about customer care and the whole team at Teachers Building Society puts our members first in everything they do. As a mutual organisation, our members own the Society and we never lose sight of this fact. We are delighted that the hard work and dedication of all the staff has been recognised by the award judges and we are very proud to be finalists.”
